How to Turn Photos into a Neat PDF
Arrange document photos, choose a page size and create a readable PDF without uploading your images.
A PDF is a convenient way to send a set of photographs as one document. It keeps their order and gives the recipient a familiar file to open. But putting photos into a PDF does not automatically make them readable, searchable or suitable for every submission form.
Prepare readable photographs
Start with an image in focus, evenly lit and facing the right direction. Avoid glare across printed text. Crop unwanted background and rotate the photo in an image editor before converting it. OurSolver fits the image to the page; it does not straighten a photographed document or remove shadows.
Keep color where it carries meaning. A faint stamp, highlighted note or colored chart may become harder to interpret after aggressive compression. Check the smallest important text rather than judging only the overall appearance.
Choose a page layout
OurSolver offers A4 portrait, US Letter portrait and a page fitted to each image. A4 and Letter use white margins and preserve image proportions. A landscape image on a portrait page therefore leaves extra space; the tool does not crop its edges to fill the sheet.
For printing, choose the paper size the recipient expects. For an image collection viewed on screen, pages fitted to the individual images may be more convenient. Mixed image shapes can produce mixed page shapes in that mode.
Build the document
- Choose static JPG, PNG or WebP images.
- Use the up and down buttons to put them in reading order.
- Remove duplicates or unrelated pictures.
- Select the page size and create the PDF.
- Download and open it in a PDF viewer.
The tool adds one image per page. It places images on white backgrounds and encodes them as JPG for embedding. Transparent areas become white. This is useful for ordinary document photos, but it is not an archival, lossless image packaging workflow.
A PDF is not automatically searchable
Photographed text remains pixels inside this PDF. OurSolver does not perform optical character recognition, so you should not expect to select text or find a name using the viewer's search command. If searchable text is required, use a dedicated OCR workflow and verify its recognition accuracy.
Check file size and order
Several camera-resolution photos can make a large document. If the result exceeds an upload limit, resize appropriate copies first, while preserving enough detail to read the text. Reducing a scan to a tiny thumbnail defeats the purpose even if the submission accepts its file size.
Finally, confirm the first and last page, the total count and the reading order. Zoom in to examine numbers, dates and small print. Keep the original photographs until you know the recipient has a usable copy.
